Vito and Nick's, Lemont Lanes Temporarily Closed Over Debt Issues

Lemont police helped lock State Street building Tuesday; posted sign refers customers to debt collection attorney.

, 1015 State St., which also houses , was temporarily closed Tuesday over apparent issues with debt.

Police were seen at the bowling alley shortly before a "closed" sign was posted on the front entrance, multiple Patch readers reported. The sign instructed customers to call attorney Jonathan Koyn.

Although calls to Koyn were not immediately returned, a voicemail recording said the firm was "required by federal law" to inform callers that the office is a debt collector.

An employee at the original Vito and Nick's in Chicago declined to comment on the status of the Lemont site, and referred all questions to First Personal Bank at 12261 Archer Ave. in Lemont.

Lemont Police Cmdr. Dan Tully confirmed that police were at the scene to help change the building's locks, but also directed all further questions to the bank.

Calls to the bank were not immediately returned.

Information on when or if the restaurant and bowling alley will reopen was not available Tuesday night.
