Alyssa Stube

Stube has played at least parts of two seasons on head coach Chris Traina’s varsity squad, and is expected to play a major role in the team’s success this spring. Over the past two years, the Indians have posted a 50-19 record and won consecutive IHSA Regional titles.

A career .286 hitter, Stube has scored 20 runs, driven in 17 runs and posted an on-base percentage of .402 over two seasons. In 2011, she hit .258 with 14 runs batted in and 11 runs scored.

Stube had limited playing time on the varsity squad as a sophomore in 2010, but made the most of those opportunities. She hit .455 (5-11) with a triple, and scored nine runs, many as a pinch-runner.

Stube is the second member of her family in the last three years to play college softball. Her sister Ashley, a 2010 Lemont graduate, is a sophomore outfielder at Iowa Wesleyan College.

A member of the Lemont Sizzlers club softball program and a high honor roll student, Stube will play for head coach Jade Geuther at Cardinal Stritch, an NAIA institution located in Glendale, WI, and a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). The Wolves were 8-21 in 2011, and had five CCAC All-Academic Team honorees.

Kelly Trojak

The Lemont girls soccer program has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in Trojak’s first two varsity seasons, and head coach Rick Prangen will rely on her to be a valuable contributor again this season.

Over the last two years, the Indians have posted a composite record of 39-13, including a 21-1 mark in South Suburban Conference (SSC) play, as well as two SSC titles, two IHSA Regional crowns, IHSA Sectional and Super-Sectional championships, and a third-place finish in the 2011 IHSA Class 2A State Tournament.

Trojak has started 50 of 52 games and totaled 16 points on six goals and four assists over those two years. She started 23 games as a sophomore in 2010, racking up a career-best four goals. As a junior in 2011, Trojak started 27 games and totaled eight points on two goals and a career-best four assists. She also earned all-conference and Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association All-Sectional honors.

A high honor roll performer and National Honor Society student, Trojak will join head coach Jeremy Ekeler’s squad at St. Xavier, an NAIA institution located in Chicago, and a member of the CCAC. Ekeler has guided the Cougars to a 38-35-5 record in his four seasons, including an 8-10-1 record last fall. Former Lemont standout Tammy Contorno ‘09 will be a senior next fall on Ekeler’s squad.
