Tap House Grill to Open in Lemont
The restaurant chain will open its seventh suburban location in September, replacing Slammers Pub and Grill in Lemont Village Square, 1243 State St.
A new "upscale-casual" bar and grill is coming to Lemont this fall.
Real estate broker Theresa Schulz, of Schulz Properties in Downers Grove, announced Wednesday that Tap House Grill will open this September in Lemont Village Square, 1243 State St.
The 5,300-square-foot restaurant will take over the space formerly occupied by Slammers Pub and Grill, which closed in February.
Tap House Grill describes itself as an "upscale-casual" pub with "addictive food and creative brews."
The menu offers a variety salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and wings, as well as a large selection of appetizers.
Schulz said the restaurant will eventually be expanded to accommodate private parties, banquets and catering.
The Lemont location will be the seventh for Tap House Grill, which currently has restaurants in Glen Ellyn, Highwood, Oswego, Plainfield, Westmont and St. Charles.

This is great news for Lemont but with a name like "Tap House Grill" I'm wondering whether or not this is a family-friendly venue or just another bar?

Based on the number of locations and Lemont being # 7, it appears this company knows what it is doing. The menu (food and beer) look good. My only concern is that it might be just like 3 Corners. I hope the village supports the business and any others that open.
