Durbin said, after the discoveries of the mistreatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib, that their treatment was compared to what the Nazis did. Sean Hannity and Fox ran with half of the sentence (as usual) and whined about it because they love Nazi like torture so much. That's what happened.

Was Durbin wrong? Not 100% of our troops are good. There's a small percentage that rape/murder innocent people. Not to mention the disgusting excuse of a solider that threw a puppy off a cliff to its death and laughed.

Just remember, these "Nazi troops" are young men and women put in a terrible place and told to do terrible things. These young men and women have seen things that you or I can't imagine and for one of their "leaders" to disparage them by comparing them to Nazis is absolutely disgusting.
I guess that Durbin forgot who sent these kids over to fight the war. Does that make him like Hitler or Rommel?

If showing my intolerance means that I don't like when a career politician that never served in the armed forces compares our troops to Nazis, then yes, I am.
The last time I looked, none of our troops led people to gas chambers, put people into concentration camps, or committed genocide against our enemies.
Too bad for the terrorists, who have beheaded prisoners, hung prisoners from bridges, and attack from within the civilian population to avoid fighting in the open.
I don't know for sure, but I would bet that none of the troops want to be there, but politicians such as Durbin are the ones that sent them there.
So, yeah, I am intolerant of people like Durbin (and, from your statements, you) insulting my fellow brothers in arms with comparisons to Nazis.

I was there and was one of the people at the door selling tickets and then collecting the 50/50 raffles tickets as well. Herschel, raised of $7,700 dollars for the Honor Flight Chicago. With that money they can send 14 veterans to DC at the cost $550.00 a piece. Thanks for all that donated to a great cause.

I went on the honor flight as a volunteer with my Dad and Uncle 2 summers ago. It was a very moving experience and one of the best times I ever shared with my Dad. The caring for all of those old vets by military and non military personnel was amazing. The welcome home ceremony at midway airport brought us all to tears. I highly recommend participating as a volunteer for Honor flight Chicago.
