Report: Lemont's Ethan Pocic Narrows College Choices to 10
The Chicago Tribune reports that the standout offensive tackle has chosen his favorite football programs from more than 20 schools that have offered him scholarships.
And then there were 10.
The Chicago Tribune reports that Pocic's top choices, in alphabetical order, are: Auburn, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Southern California and Wisconsin.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Pocic received offers from Texas A&M, Clemson, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Missouri.
According to his ESPN recruiting profile, he also received offers from Arkansas, Arizona, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.
Pocic, who was recently given a five-star ranking, finished the 2011 football season with many accolades after leading the Indians to a 12-1 season and an IHSA state semifinal appearance.
In November, he was one of 35 Chicago-area players to be named to ESPNChicago.com's All-Area football team. He also received All-State honors from the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association, as well as First Team All-Area honors from the Chicago Sun-Times.
Pocic is considered one of the top offensive recruits in the state. He follows in the footsteps on his older brother, Graham Pocic, who currently starts at center for Illinois.
