I wouldn't touch either house until they had been completely repainted. Someone must have told the owners that those were really fashionable colors but I have to tell the owners they were "sold a crock". The woodwork is beautiful in both homes but the paint has got to go. A nice off-white to cream all thru the houses to let the wood "speak". The new owners can then decide if they want to go royal purple and "vicious red". Good luck and see if the new paint doesn't help sell.
