Lemont Gives Thanks: Readers Share The Reasons They're Thankful This Year
It's Thanksgiving: Time to take stock of the good things in your life.
It's here: That special day when we gather around the table with loved ones to enjoy a feast and give thanks.
We know times are tough for some families. The economy is still shaky, and a lot of people are struggling to make ends meet (including some of us lucky enough to be employed).
But Lemont clearly still has plenty of reasons to give thanks; here's what some of you had to say on the Lemont Patch Facebook page:
What are you thankful for this year?
Danny Gray: My employment, my health, family & friends, and the learning experiences this year has brought to me in school and in life.
Tommy Uhlich: Finding a job!
Spencer Dylan Smith: I am thankful never to have to utter the two words "president" and "Romney" together.
Monica Andruszkiewicz: My family and my good health and all our wonderful friends.
So what about your Lemont Patch guest editor? I’m thankful for my family, friends and a happy home where there’s plenty of food on the table at every meal. This year, I’m also thinking about those who may not be so lucky – so I’m thankful for good health and good fortune, which will allow me to volunteer and donate to help those who may not be so blessed. And, last but certainly not least, I'm thankful for having the opportunity to meet so many kind, generous and downright wonderful people in Lemont!
