PHOTOS: Lemont Veterans Day Ceremony
Lemont police and firefighters joined the VFW Honor 22 Post 5819 as they honored our nation's veterans Friday morning.
A crowd of about two dozen gathered at the downtown World War II memorial Friday for Lemont's annual Veterans Day commemoration.
The ceremony was led by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5819 and the Ladies Axiliary. They were joined by several members of the Lemont Police Department and the Lemont Fire Protection District.
The event included speaches from VFW Post Commander Bill Ward, Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy, Fire Chief Carl Churulo and Lemont Emergency Mangagement Agency Director Tom Ballard.
