Hundreds of kids and police personnel packed Centennial Park, 16028 W. 127th St., on Saturday for the Lemont Police Department's sixth annual Kops-n-Kidz Day.

The event featured a number of free activities for families, including a bike parade, games, train rides, face painting, K-9 demonstrations, inflatable slides and more.

Kops-n-Kidz Day is organized each year by the Lemont Police Department, Lemont Park District and Lemont Green Initiative. Volunteers include members of the Lemont Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, Police Explorer Post 449 and Neighborhood Watch.
