Lemont restaurant Mama D's will re-open in a new location this summer after closing its doors in January, according to owner Ray DeNardis.

Mama D's, formerly located at 12371 Derby Road in the Riley's Pointe shopping plaza, will open in its new location, 12420 Archer Ave. in Archview Plaza (Unit G), in late July or early August, DeNardis said Wednesday.

"We hoped to be open by this month, but we've been held up with some things," he said. "We just put out a 'Coming Soon' sign so people know we'll be back this summer."

The restaurant—which serves pasta, Italian beef, burgers and hot dogs—closed the week of Jan. 9 due to undisclosed issues with its lease.

Later that month, DeNardis told Patch that he secured a space in Archview Plaza, which is located near Crystal Grand Banquets, 12416 Archer Ave.

The new location is bigger and will feature an expanded menu, DeNardis said.

Once the restaurant is open, all outstanding coupons, Patch Deals and gift certificates will be accepted.
