LHS Cheerleaders to Perform for 'Glee' Star Jane Lynch on ABC 7

The three-time state champions will appear with the actress and a show choir from Wheaton-Warrenville South at 9 a.m. Monday on "Windy City Live."

The three-time state champion cheerleaders will appear Monday with Emmy-winning actress Jane Lynch on the ABC 7 morning show Windy City Live, according to the show's website.

Lynch, who plays the villainous cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on the hit Fox TV series Glee, is in Chicago to promote her new book Happy Accidents. She will serve as a special guest Monday on Windy City Live, which airs at 9 a.m. on ABC Chicago.

The Lemont High School cheerleading squad, which captured its in February, will perform during the segment.

The team has finished in the top three in the past six IHSA state finals. The team placed third in 2006, and was runner-up in 2007 and 2008. Under the leadership of head coach Brittany Glowa, who took over during the 2008-2009 school year, the team captured back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010.

Also appearing on Monday's show is the "Classics" show choir from Wheaton-Warrenville South High School.

According to Wheaton Patch, the Classics won the 2011 FAME National Championships in Indianapolis last spring, and are experienced ABC 7 performers. The Classics won the ABC 7 "Show Choir Showdown" in May, when four high school show choirs competed for votes after morning performances on the show.
