Letter to the Editor: Junior Woman's Club Thanks Community for Supporting Denim Derby

The club raised more than $10,000 earlier this month during its annual spring fundraiser.

Lemont Patch is now accepting letters to the editor, which will be posted on the site weekly.

The following was submitted by the Lemont Junior Woman's Club, a nonprofit organization that supports organizations, projects and children in the Lemont community.

If you're interesting in submitting a letter, e-mail Lemont Patch Editor Amanda Luevano at amanda@patch.com.

The Lemont Junior Woman’s Club would like to thank the community for supporting the Denim Derby on May 4. With your help we raised more than $10,000 for the club’s projects. All of that money will be invested back in the Lemont community as donations to the Lemont food pantries, funding for senior meals, college scholarships, and support for other local programs.

We are grateful to the generous businesses that sponsored this event: Castletown Homes, La Dolce Vita, Dunbar Systems, Inc., 3 Corners Grill and Tap, A Formula Mechanical Group, A and J Construction, Country Financial—John Piazza, Front Street Cantina, and Plum Three Marketing.

Thank you also for the many raffle prizes donated by Jeffrey LaMorte Salon and Day Spa, Professional Golf Association, Arlington Park, Chicago Bears Football Club, Chicago Wolves, Brenda and Bill Douglass, Michelle and Mike Dunbar, Nicole Dyche—Thirty-One, Forzley Eye Clinic, Gleneagles Country Club, Great Steaks/Quantum Foods, Heritage Travelware, Kitaro Grill and Sushi Lounge, LJWC Associates, Sandi and Mike Moleski, PC’s Pancake Cafe, Johnna and Brian Rediehs, Ruffled Feathers Golf Club, Casey and Ed Rutledge, Lindsey and Guy Sulzberger, and the White Sox.

We are proud to be a part of a community of people who truly care about their neighbors. It is with the help of all of you that we are able to give so much back to Lemont.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Gould
President, Lemont Junior Woman's Club
