Get in the Christmas spirit at the Lemont Area Historical Society’s open house and homemade cookie sale from 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday at the group's museum at 306 Lemont St.

Guests of all ages will enjoy the music of the season, sung by the choirs of St. Patrick and St. Alphonsus churches, from 1:30-3 p.m. (Doors open at 1 p.m.)

From 3-4 p.m., kids can tell Santa what they want for Christmas and have their photos taken with the Jolly Old Elf next to the Victorian Christmas tree.

And, last but certainly not least – guests can pick up some delicious assortments of homemade holiday cookies, which will be available for purchase at the holiday open house.
