2. Quilters Club at Library
The Lemont Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. today in the meeting room at the Lemont Public Library at 50 E. Wend St., Lemont. All quilters are welcome, no membership required. Contact Regina Fain for more information.
3. Register for Rules of the Road Course
Registration is open for a free Rules of the Road Review course, to be offered from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Lemont Township office, 1115 Warner Ave., Lemont. For more information or to register call 630-257-2522.
4. Lions Spring Community Dinner
The Lemont Lions Club will serve boneless pork chops at its Spring Community Dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Lemont VFW Post 5819, 15780 New Ave., Lemont. The cost is $7 for seniors, $8 for adults, $6 for children ages 5 and under, and meals may be eaten in or carried out. Diners who bring two or more items for donation to local food pantries will receive a free soda or bottle of water.
5. Antiques Appraisal at the Library
Bring your antiques and collectibles to the Lemont Public Library at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29, for information and appraisal by Jackie Bogie of Misty Creek Antiques. Registration is required and appraisals will be limited to one hand-held item or photograph of an item per participant. Weapons, gold, precious jewelry, stamps, coin, currency, fine art and sculpture will not be appraised. To register, call 630-257-6541
