Sweet Sadie Is a Pooch Looking For a Calm Household
This adorable mutt would love a home with adults or older children and another dog to play with... could that be yours?
The following Adopt Me! information is provided by A Caring Place:
Introducing SADIE, a shy but loving mixed breed dog who is around 1 ½ years old and approximately 47 pounds. At best guess, Sadie is a Terrier mix but she could be a German Wirehaired Pointer mix or even Giant Schnauzer mix. Her coat is a combination of soft and slightly bristly with the cutest tufting on her head. Sadie is smart, treat motivated, and has a desire to please so she learns basic commands quickly and easily.
Sadie is very sweet, with a calm disposition when in the home. She enjoys laying by her foster mom for some down time to receive petting and cuddling time. It does appear that Sadie was previously mistreated so she approaches new people cautiously; she requires a gentle, calm approach, allowing her to acclimate to new people.
Outside Sadie is very playful and leaps like a gazelle, and loves to play fetch with her toys. She runs very fast and with her Terrier prey drive, she’ll guard your yard against all little furry creatures who attempt to enter; therefore, a fenced yard is required for her safety. Sadie’s one joy is to run and chase her housemate, Otis. She will steal his sticks and toys from him and run off in glee! Sadie requires supervision in the yard because if left alone she will dig out of the yard and run off. She would probably enjoy some training on appropriate in her own sandbox.
She is currently learning how to walk on a leash. Sadie will need an adopter committed to continuing this training. Sadie would do best in a quieter home without young children (was previously mistreated by children) with a fenced yard, no kitties, and another dog with whom to play and partner. She is housebroken, crate trained, and works for treats.
If you think you might be Sadie’s new owner/family, please contact us at 630-375-7976 or through email at email@example.com. She has been spayed, inoculated against diseases, dewormed, tested for Heartworm Disease (Negative) and placed on monthly preventative, plus microchipped.
